So if all you talk about is your experience with building Financial products, chances are you will not show up in search results.
For one of my clients, before we updated his profile, he was showing up in search results for “Engineer” and “PhD”. He is neither a PhD nor is he looking for Engineer jobs. But he did work with Engineers and PhDs before.
We updated his LinkedIn profile to incorporate the right keywords he wants to be found for. Within a week, he started showing up for search results for Performance management, project management, and Lead roles.
LinkedIn is the most powerful tool for job seekers. But if you give it stale ingredients, you cannot expect a Michelin star dish.
