I have a different definition of the word "WOMAN".
In 2005 I started my career in mechanical engineering, I was the only woman in my batch.
When I moved to the U.S., I built my career from scratch - without a network, or referrals.
When I launched
Pinkcareers,
I was the first woman in my family to start a business.
At every stage, I was told to play it safe.
To take the more “stable” path, and be grateful for whatever opportunity came my way.
But being a woman in leadership isn’t about fitting into the mold.
It’s about rewriting the mold.
Here's my definition for the word WOMAN.
W - Worthy of every opportunity
O - Owning her wins without apology
M - Making bold moves in her career
A - Asking for what she’s worth
N - Never waiting for permission to lead
For too long, women have been told to play small.
To be humble, and patient.
To be “grateful for the opportunity.
But the women I coach are breaking into $200K - $500K leadership roles, and are rewriting the rules.
They don’t downplay their success.
They don’t wait to be chosen.
They don’t ask if they belong at the table. They take their seat.
As women we don’t need to “lean in” to systems that weren’t built for us.
We need to break the systems that hold us back.

Women don’t need to “lean in” to broken systems—we need to break them. THE FEARLESS HIRE helps women rewrite the mold.
